NOW for the rest of you guys (Maxwell and Josh) I do not go around hiding implements from Betsy! As a matter of fact... If I mention road trip... She can (and has) have her bag packed and be in the truck ready to go before me. Sadly though, she doesn't seem to groove on driving and using the Cubs. She's planning on doing some work with her flowers and stuff this weekend, I'm gonna dig out a 147 and trailer then put her tools and supplies in the trailer and we'll see what happens. Josh, I don't think I knew you had an Earthcavator, I love to see some pictures.

Mark,
I wasn't implying you were hiding stuff from Betsy......... ![]() All of us married guys know better. It's impossible to hide stuff from the better half. ![]() Here's a couple pics of the Gannon I snapped a month or so ago. 36" Cat O Sears mount. Gonna move the mounting tabs and make it a CC Cat O mount. Poached this out of Sterling, IL. Would love to find a 42" Cat O one but they are hard to find and pricey.

Anyway, I just could not resist taking a fun poke at ya. I'm guilty of sneaking some cub stuff on my fiancee, but she said she didn't really care. Sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack your thread. Those seeders usually bring good money in my area if you can find them and in rougher shape than yours. It looks like a fun piece of equipment to run. Who was the manufacturer of it?Cub Cadet 123

Thanks for the pics Josh, I'm not sure why but I just think those thins are so cool.
I gotta confess, I don't know my planter history as well as I would like. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that Cole made the Brinly planters. I haven't been able to find any markings on this one, except the seed plate is marked "Cole". I don't really know anything else about them. I don't know what model number number it is and haven't been able to find any kind of literature or manuals for any that really look like this one. There are a good many pictures on the net but I haven't been able to come up with any real information so far. There is another tractor forum that I am not a member of that appears to have some manuals for planters, but I'm not that far yet. And Yeah, Betsy really is pretty great (I get away with damn near anything).

Cole made the planter for Brinley. There are at least three different designs they used in making the planters. Yours looks like a KK-200 series. It uses the Cole OR- series of plates. It will also use the Covington TP series of planter plates. Cole is still in business and is now owned by Covington. Cole made at least three different sizes of plates. The ones you need are the ones that are around 6 1/2 to 6 3/4 inches in diameter. Cole still has a limited selection of the new OR- plates. I bought some from them this spring after I found found a KK-200 in South Georgia, about 90 miles from me. Plates also show up from time to time on ebay. Cole also has a digital copy of the KK-200 manual they can send you. I have mine setup to use with my 3 point. I bought a Cat 0 to sleeve hitch adapter from Extreme.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
