Command 18 questions.
To install the CH18 in my 1862 will the engine wiring harness from a 1864 plug directly into my 1862 main harness? The Magnum 18 had spacers between the block and mounting plate. The 2000 series I took the CH18 out of did not have spacers. Do I need the spacers to put the CH18 in my 1862?

I found part of what I needed. The 1864 uses a different mounting plate but the same spacers. I am hitting a wall on the engine wiring harness. Does anyone with an 1864 have a pic of the engine harness to main harness plug they can post? I am trying to make this plug and play and not chop up the 1862 harness even if I have to find an 1864 engine harness. The harness on the engine is for a 2000 series tractor and I am pretty sure the plugs are different. I might have to hit the bone yard again for a donor harness.

Mainly trying to find a pic of the plug to see if it is different than what is on the engine. The pics on Cub Cadets site are pretty bad. I am making a list of what I need to do the swap before I hit the sponsers.

There are days I need to stay in bed and away from tools,lol. I was forgetting the command has the starter solenoid on the starter instead of mounted on the plate near the battery and two ignition coils. The extra wires were throwing me off. I went back to the bone yard and cut out the harness that runs to the engine. Now all I have to do is get a plug that matches the 1862 main harness,take out the solenoid and wire that into the 2000 series harness and it should be plug and play.

Red is Carb
Green is oil Purple is charging Black is ground Blue is starter That will get ya going. Make sure you have 12v when you turn the key to the Carb solenoid
