And another pick of the block. Only down side to this motor is I will have to run off the pro side of motor vs the flywheel side. Also not sure how it would look without a shroud. Looks like it has a spot for one but this one looks to have never had a shroud as there are no holes to bolt the flywheel shroud on. Also not sure how a shroud would fit with the water pump and starter.

Our friend that has one put his in a original so I should be able to get it in a cub if I go that route. Have had other ideas as to where to use it also. He bought a kit to turn it into a ford 8n. Looks really neat. Hopefully he will have it done soon so I can get pictures.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
