I need to replace the tires on my 72. Should I stick with the 6/12s for the rear or do you guys have other thoughts? Thanks.
I used her to pull some limbs I cut yesterday. No action shot but took a pic before putting it away. The first time I've started it since last year and it turned over a couple times and came to life. Simple and reliable, it's hard to beat.

I always like a lot of tire sticking out so I'd go with 23x8.50 if it were mine.

I have that size on a little JD 110 round fender I have and they do look cool.
Would they fit ok on the Cub rim that currently has the 6x12 tire?

I really like 6-12's on the round fendered cubs. But hey man, it's your tractor so you have the freedom to do as you want with it.

I like the look of 6 12's as duals on the back of the tractor. Really, it depends on your application of your tractor, but the ags sure look neat!!

Amazon has Tru Powers several sizes. I just got a set of 23X10.50X12 for $111 apiece, free shipping. Amazon is the best route for them IMO. However, I want a set of V61's like you got, Amazon dosn't carry them so I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and pay Mr. Miller....

The 6x12s are $20 cheaper per tire compared to the 23x8.5x12 to that might make up my mind since I like the looks of both sizes. Thanks everyone.

I have always been surprised at what the little 6 12's will do with weights and water in them. Wider looks better but the 6 12's are still a workhorse! Good luck with it ![]()

I like the look of the 23-850s better on smaller framed tractors, paired with tri ribs. One of my Deere has that combo and looks slick as can be

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
