Default Kohler k341
Hello Everyone,

I pulled the piston out of my kohler k341 and this is what i found,it also has 2 oiler rings on the piston with the end cap installed upside down where the marks don't line up . I also found a crack on the head by the sparkplug about 1 inch long, can the head be welded with a spool gun?

looks like you were sold a pig in a poke by someone.
Ya You can tig weld the head but it prolly won't hold and crack again.
Get a good used one, lots of them around.

that comes from piston slap. skirts usually break . I've also noticed the AQS motors have a tendency to crack the head near the plug

April 1979 1200 Quietline 44A deck 1988 1211 customized into a 1288 with a K301AQS 38C deck and a 1864 54” deck . Snow blades 42" and 54" . Brinly disk, brinly plow a cultivator and a $5 brinly yard rake!
