I wouldn't call them POS either. Their just not built like our old Cubs. Look at cars of today compared to 40yrs ago or farm tractors or pickups. Comparing that new cub to the older ones is like comparing a 982 to a 282. Now if it were a Deere or crapsman that's another story! Lollllll!

Wasn't looking to start a pissin match guys. Just making a visual of these new cub tractors are already going up for sale with one having 14 hrs, and the other with 18.. And the owners is ready to send them down the road....
I think it's a case of buyers remorse. Cause why would anyone throw $200 away to use it for two hours. Crazy.. I don't think they were what was expected, so take the loss, and get rid of them.

Tractor people are supposed to have skin a little tougher than others. Who cares what somebody else thinks about what you have. I personally think they're ugly but if they cut grass and that's the reason it was purchased, then so be it. I can still think it's ugly.
Go visit those in the hospital and see some folks with real problems.

You know what the say about opinions.....everybody has one and the rest of us have the ability to ignore it. Now go and have a good day.

I think the new ones have a blue tooth connect deal for when it's time to change oil and such. Maybe they programmed it at the factory to send a message that it was time for a new one.

Ya know, I've noticed a couple things about these. First, I haven't seen a single one for sale (haven't really looked that hard, either) that has the vertical shaft engine in it, the XT3 I believe. Next, where's the 3pt kit or dual/triple hydraulic upgrade? Perhaps a rear PTO? Come on Cub, step up your game and get in there with John Deere and others! Cub's used to EARN there reputation for reliability, toughness, quality, etc; not ride on the reputation that was made a loonngg time ago. Just kind of annoys me that our once great machines have been cheapened up to the point they are. Sure, a LT for cutting grass is just fine but what about those of us who want a bigger better machine? If you build it, they will come!

They're going to have to take a bigger loss than that if they want to sell it. I just went on cubcadet.com and did a live chat, the guy said warranties are for original owner only and not transferable. These things are just like cars, they depreciate in value quickly. That's why I like my 1450, it has already hit rock bottom, I paid $550 for it, put another $200 into it, I can still get 80-90% of my money out of it when I sell it, maybe even 100% if I part it out.

Were you a good cubmaritan and email him about filling the tires for more traction on the slopes?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
