Hello everyone, I'm a new member to this forum. I grew up mowing/pulling cub cadets. I have a 70 that I restored earlier this year. My dad got me this cub back in the mid 70's(I was 6). He had our neighbor paint it IH red. Dad had a 100 which was yellow and he wanted a red one. He sold the 70 to our neighbor. I kept in touch with our neighbor's son who was my age and owned the 70. He called me in 2002 wanting to know if I wanted my old 70 back. I said heck yeah! I got it back and finally restored it to its IH red glory. Dad past away in 1980 so the 70 means a lot to me. I will post some pictures. I also have a NQS superstock I pull. Its a 1200 with side shields. I also have a 100 that i'm currently restoring. I also have a 129 and 149. My grand daughter loves riding the 70 with me and going to the tractor pulls. She is a future tractor puller.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
