Yeah they're both O's. The one is loaded with almost every option including rear PTO with 90 degree box. Maybe Merk can elaborate on them as this was a friend of his and other members here, may he rest in peace. The yellow set of weights is awesome with the logo in the middle. Creeper, lights, amp gauge, etc. as well on that one too. I wonder where it went to.

Ok 3rd look is the charm. My eyes are open now!
The hydro lift threw me off. I just saw Merks post on the other post. Sorry for the loss! They probably sold for more than my wallet could have done right now, but it still would've been cool to see them!

The owner was William W. "Geezer" DeTurck Sr. Geezer was 82 when he pass away. He was the ambassador for the IH Registry and Cub Cadet Collectors web sites. He was always willing to share his wealth of knowledge freely with any of us Cub nuts.

He used to own an Original that had the M&W 9 speed transmission in it. Bill would go to any plow day he could go to. He plowed with a Original that had the hydraulic lift on it. You could tell it was Bill's tractor because he would run 3 turf tires on the land side and tire chains on the tires.

I do not know the story behind the wheel weights. I would like to have a set for my Cubs.

Thanks for posting the add. I wish I knew about it before the sale. I would have been to that sale and hopefully been the high bidder on the originals. If anyone hears who purchase the originals send me a PM or have the new owner(s) contact me.

Rest in peace my friend. You earned it.

It is listed as an estate sale, which also means it likely was not an auction.

If anyone is interested in what is in the sale, you might contact them even now.

I'm just diggin' that funky creepy shifter! Neat set up. Glad you had a chance to know him Dale and I am glad that he shared his hobby with so many other enthusiasts.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
