Well I've had my 129 for about a year now and it's in pretty good shape. Anyway I picked up the ported hydro to put in the hydro lift. I have just about everything I need. I'm missing a swash in the ported trans. Will the insides og my non ported trans swap into the new one? And does anyone have and hydro lift related parts for sale? And where do I find gaskets? Any help would be appreciated!!

Was the ported pump you just purchased disassembled? If not why would you need a swash plate
. Ported or not they all have swash plates. that is what makes them go forward/reverse and adjustable speed.

Yes it is disassembled. The guy used parts out of it for another cub. I found a 1450 with hydro lift and a 1250 as a package deal today I'm gonna go get them this weekend so I should have everything..

ok well i got everything put on and i just swapped the transmissions so i could keep my original serial number. every thing went together fairly easy. i had to modify the lift handle a little bend the steel lines a little and the valve isnt mounted the best (i need to drill one hole). and i had to switch the flanges on the the transmissions. when i got it to a point to fire it up i have no crank... i replaced the ignition switch once becasue my girl friend broke the key off in it. (i jumped the solenoid) and it started fine. everything seems to be good besides the ignition problem. i have to order the trans/rear end gasket to put the 1450 back together. but so far im a happy camper!! i have a video of it running and lift working but idk if i can upload a video...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
