I have the top and front from one of those, but I haven't tried to put it on anything yet.

Matt, if you ever get the chance to put that on something, I'd love to know/see how it works out.
I also found a couple pics of a Sims cab (on the 482-982 series) that is a very cool design... the windshield flips up and out of the way of the hood. I'd like to find out if they ever made that design for the NF or WF cubs...

I picked up a curtis cab(from a JD) this spring. It does sit on the hood on a 3 inch rubber strip and has turnbuckles that hold the front windshield down while the rear bracket bolts to the fender. But you undo the turn buckles and lift up (rear brackets are hindged) the whole thing. To open the hood to gas up. Haven't tried to mounted it yet. Will let all know when I get it set up. I really don't want to drill into my fenders. Trying to find a different mounting set up.

kennygibson-

I'll be mounting it to an 82 series, so I'll have to figure out how to hinge it so that it's out of the way of the VERY LARGE hood on those tractors. I'm not sure when it's going to happen though...I have too many projects.

With the rear brackets hinged it would be out of the way with room to spare

Yeah, I'd just rather not hinge the whole thing. I have to get it out sometime and play with it a bit. I bought it and then buried it in the barn.

I'd like to make either the front flip up or to the side. I'm not sure that I could easily make it flip to the side, due to the shape of the front panel.

I understand, what I was thinking of doing is cutting the front 2 inches below window putting hinge in then runninng some steel down the front side to the front foot rest and welding or bolting it there. Flip up hinge part and open hood. What I notice with the hinge on the back support is that it was bent a little bit. Right now mine is burried in the back of the garage also.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
