Appreciate it guys, funny how the one that's cheaper is always the one that's the furthest distance!

That's usually how it goes, if the one for $300 weren't 6 1/2 hours away I'd own it.

You about the same distance as I am. Picked up a KTM 380 years ago from near Albany. 12 hours round trip, not fun -- swore I'd never do it again. PA to NY is the holy land for older cubs.

I drove 4 hrs round trip last summer for a 1440 parts tractor (paid 100 dollars). But sold the rear tires/wheels for 50. and got a mint wiring harness, hood, seat and a few other parts I plan on selling but I haven't got to it yet.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
