Ive got a new one out in the shop I could measure for ya that is for a kohler 301, but why do you want a measure it?If your thinking of making one be careful what you make it out of because you wouldnt want to wear what makes it push out.I think I only gave 6 bucks for mine new.Let me know and I'll measure it...Randy

Well Randy I would like a measurement to see if mine is worn or not. It is a 25 mile trip to the nearest Cub dealer and really don't want to make the trip for no reason. I am having a difficult time setting the timing. It is a measurement that would be nice to have in the notebook. Thanks Kelly

Randy the problem I am having with either method is the points will not open far enough to get in the correct timing setting. Leads me to believe the push rod is worn out of spec. Thanks again will check in the morning and see how worn it is.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
