On my new to me 102 I noticed when I bought it that P.O had notched the tunnel cover toward the dash for the lever to have more travel.I finally got to look at it a little today and everything seems really good and tight through the clutch, drive line all the way to the wheels.Shifters feel good as I put it up on jack stands to investigate further and found it wouldnt engage the creeper with out going in to the notch the P.O made.Creepers are new to me, is this a common problem are there any linkage adjustments that can be made or is something else in there worn to the point the P.O was trying to get in gear a little better...Just startin out with this and just trying to get a little familar with it before I get into it but that notch out gota go.....Next step will be a service manual for sure on the creeper just wondering if anyone else has run in to this....Thanks Randy

The fork that moves the collar inside is probably worn and that's why the notch had to be enlarged. I'd take it apart, replace the O-rings, bearing, and seal, and build up any notches you find on the fork with weld and grind them back down.

Thanks Matt I was kinda thinking it was probably internal...When I get started taking it apart that will sure be what Im probably looking at. Matt didnt you have some 102 parts for sale a while back? I'm looking for a dash tower and maybe a frame.....Thanks again
