New in NY
Hello to everyone. I am a 59 year old heavy truck mechanic for a large utility in the Elmira NY area specializing in large diesel engines. I recently acquired a 1984 782D Cub from my wife's uncle's estate. He had a 400 acre farm and the Cub was his around the house mower that was seldom used due to hard starting. It shows just 692 hours on the meter. After finding this fantastic website with all the knowledge here, and learning a little about these great little tractors, I'm hooked! What was brought home as a novelty, the 782D is now in the process of a full blown restoration and I'm looking for more diesel Cubs. These are cool! I'm Stan and my CB radio handle from long ago was Diesel Doctor so that's now my screen name! I look forward to "meeting" you all.

Only pics I have are of the tractor on the day she came home. Here is the 782D after her bath to get the bird droppings and hay chaff off from being stored in an old cow barn for 8 years. She was a dirty girl!
