Recently noticed a bulge on my LF tire the other day. It's not in any danger currently, and it's most noticeable when the wheel is rotating.
![]() ![]() ![]() The pencil shows the bulge ![]() I submitted a claim to Carlisle, as the tire was bought in May of 2014. I was told that they warranty tires 2 years after purchase. She submitted it to her superiors anyway, and I have yet to find out. Crazy thing is that I bought both front tires at the same time and the other one is just fine. I thought it might be too much PSI but I run less than what is max on the sidewall. Also, it's not like I leave it outside; it is garage kept out of the weather and UV rays, and only use it an average of maybe an hour a week. I don't know if this is a bad tire or if all Carlisle tires are this way....I'm leery of buying the tru powers for the rear if they are only going to last 2 years when I currently have originals from 1970 on the back.

Update: Carlisle warrantied the tire and sent me a new one. I'm appreciative that they stand behind their products when something goes wrong. I'll be recommending them to others.

Glad to hear that they are replacing the tire.
I have always like Carlisle tires, and have never had a problem. Have had the Super Lugs and Tru-Powers on the rears for years. |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
