Thanks john...yeah the 1 ton axles are nice, full floaters..it has an 11 leaf spring pack in rear and negative arch in front..at first was gonna set it up for pullin,(bigger output shaft, slip yoke eliminator, rebuilt tranny and transfer case) some fab work, rides like a fucking hey wagon.... then decided not too...EVERY nut bolt bearing bushing has been replaced with OEM or better...almost looks better underneath..polyurethane all the way...death wobble sucked when I got it...still has 16.5" wheels so I'm screwed when I have to get tires...really like the flareside though...my first vehicle was a black 79, Chevy short box.....nice trucks guys
Was gonna put this motor in it 496....about 800 NA, but I let my buddy sell it to someone who pug it in an impala...... Nice trucks guys |

MJ, I was recently told army surplus stores sometimes have 16.5s for cheap, 200 ea. any size 31s-40+. Was(am) considering a set for off road play after changing axels. Set for street and set for play.

ive been looking around at some, and the problem is some are just hard as hell and dry rotted, flat spots, etc... im thinking about going either to a 16",(should clear with the right backspacing/offset) or 17"s...depending on tire price really..cant beleive they made a tire 30 yrs ago that you could run incredibly low tire pressures if you needed too and not worry about blowing bead, and now theyre going extinct...meanwhile yuppie shits with their 20+"s and BEADLOCKS?????? (i wont get started) im a real fan of the older bfg mud terrains too, white letters out...but if you do find a good set of the military tires, im sure theyre out there somewhere, they seem made pretty well...guess they have to be...what size are you looking for??? im running 12.5"x33"....youll need plenty of sidewall you get that old 1 ton suspension under there

35 12.5 15s, got 2 good ones on rear so need 2 for front. But when I upgrade the drivetrain gonna go atleast 38s for off road fun. I have a ton of farm land with loggin roads out in Harp NY. Prob close to 2k acres between 2 farms and that borders state forests. I have an old bench seat i can throw in the back and bolt in to take the family for a nice slow ride through the woods. They have a huge ATV/dirt bike race down there every year and i just put in a cabin to camp next year. Its alot of fun for everyone and dont cost me anything but gas and booze for bonfire after all the wheelins over for the night!

My daily driver. Well, I don't leave the house every day, but when I do, I take my Model A.
Most frequently asked question: How fast does it go? Ans: 55 mph (original, stock drivetrain, if you were wondering) |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
