Cool

With pictures of a Cat track hoe going to town scrapping Cub Cadets on a website such as Only Cub Cadets, it's bound for opposing reaction. Plain, simple English. I do not stand up and applaud such an action. If someone wants to scrap their stuff, and publicly announce it, that's all well and good. But do not sit back and point your plastic finger at me and tell me I have no right to express what I see in the pictures.

Mcamp has handled the backlash very well! That, I can respect, and because of that, I gave more thought into his actions. Not what all the winers, and two-cent throwers have been typing! I still would have liked to have seen another solution to the problem, but that's the way it goes. I have scrapped a cub or two, and regret it very much. These parts are not coming back what so ever! So ya'all best sit back and enjoy that cool drink!

On a side note, I've read that the Cat business is laying off 800 workers! That's not very good!

That's nice. When I was a kid my dad had a 67 rs/ss that was black with red interior, it had a 427 with a 2 speed power glide and 8 Weber carbs that stuck out of the hood.

For what it's worth I like both Charles and Ronnie's junk cars. This was my old junk car.

John Express away this is not about some one expressing an opposing opinion. It's about doing so in a respectful way. Simply put express your disagreement without being an ass. A diversity in opinion is what makes a forum worth while.

Here is another gratuitous mention of my JUNK FORDS. Ronnie my junk ford is better than you junk chevy. Sam you said was do you still have the Vette?

I sold the Vette in 1990. It was a fun car that I built just for Auto Crossing. It was a beater, the front 1/2 was a 65, the back 1/2 was a 66 with a junk yard 350. I stuck a cam in it and a small Holley. Did some suspension work on it. It was built to the limit of the class I ran in. Won most of the events with it for 3 years.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
