I bought a bx 2230 about 3 years ago. I think it's a 2005, and had right at 400 hrs on it. I paid 5800 off CL for it and a new one is about 13 or 14. It actually had a bush hog, tiller, and 60" belly mower . I've put about 100 hrs on it and have had zero issues with it. The paint was somewhat faded, but I'm not a keep up with the jones type, so didn't matter to me. And of course I had to look at CL day and note for a Cpl months to find one at that price, but am very happy I did. It is a solid, dependable machine with many many uses.

Lol, I live in a neighborhood where all the lawns look like they would fit on the cover of Homes and Gardens. It takes more work than some of you guys will ever know. I just came in from working on that damn lawn and I am soaking wet with sweat. Maybe I should start thinking about scaling down? I mean, at 62, I would hate to have anymore health issues and have to pay someone to do this. But the Wife says no so I want a bigger tractor! OH, I forgot about my neighbor down the street. If I get a shinny new Kubota, he will also.
Well there ya go, tell the dealer he is not only selling one and take the neighbor with ya Ronnie.

I wish I lived in the country like that. The smell wouldn't bother me at all.

Dang John, I will never make it to 77. Working behind a desk for 30 years ruined my health. Wish I would have went to the gym, but too late now.

I wish I could find one at that price. I'm looking, but around here they want new prices.

I bet there are a lot of you guys in my situation, live in a neighborhood where we have rules about buildings, cars and all sort of things. For instance, if you build a outside building for your stuff, it has to be built just like your house? If your house is brick, the out building has to be brick. It makes the neighborhood look good, but it really sucks. I am not living here the rest of my life, too much to keep up.
This is the only Kubota near me that is even close to a deal? If he would come down to 7k, might be something to look at?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
