i had this problem, for me it ended up being the relay had a solder joint come loose and create a bunch of resistance on the switched circuit. to test it i took it apart, used a tooth pick to hold the mag switch over to close the switched circuit and put ohms on my meter and there it was. i had checked everything, all safety switches pto switch, relay, wires. i was going nuts.

Problem solved!!! It was the brown wire in the plug to the reverse switch. It was broke off where is attaches to the female spade connector. Crimped a new connector on and I am back out an running again. Thanks to all out there that helped.

Thanks for the help Travis, now I won't say "Way to put your big boy pants on and get in there and fix it".
 Instead I will say Great Job! I'm not sure you skill level, but I know that some repairs can be intimidating the first time, and that's probably why you came here. The problem is, we are not there, and we can only give you so much information. I'm glad you found the problem and it was a simple fix. Too often people join, ask a question and don't like the answer or amount of work required. Usually Jon gives them an answer that is strait to the point and we don't hear from them again (hence his comment). Glad you got it fixed. Incase no one else said it, Welcome to OCC!
