Todd with the CH22 and the GT54 it's sort of like a short Super. Neat tractor, I'm lovin it. Now it just needs a set of loaded Tru-Powers and a paint job. That can wait till the end of the season.

This is the GT that Cub should have built. The extra 4HP makes it perfect. Tried it going up hill in some heavy grass that used to pull the 1641 down and the 22 just wanted more.

Introduced the new GT54" deck to Mr. Miller today, welded a couple pieces of 1"X1/8' bar stock to the top of the lip on the front of the deck, then I bolted some rubber Hay Baler belt to that to create some flaps in the front to reduce the amount of grass that gets blown out from under the front. Got tired of how much grass was getting into places that I don't want grass clippings. Works much better now. I did the same thing on my GT48" deck a while ago. Sorry no pics yet.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
