Default Just got a Red One

Hello, After hoisting the Dozer blade this past winter on my 1440, I have been looking for a Cub with a Hydraulic lift. One popped up on Craigslists, so I went and looked at it and wound up bringing it home. It has a 38"deck, and came with a 2 stage snow blower. I believe the snow blower is for a later model, (the model number is 311-0045) they had box tubing bolted to it and it was attached at the rear of the tractor frame and also the rear axle. They were using the deck lift arms to raise and lower it. I'm concern with that mounting and was planning on fitting a QA42A-U1111 to the front using the "Frankenstien Bolts and the quick attach pins. Is the QA42A-U1111 the proper snowthrower for the 782? (After bringing home the 782, A Case 646 loader tractor popped up) I don't need one, but I always wanted one. So I guess I'm becoming a "collector". Thanks! Gary C

NO...In the snowthrowers, it would be a QA42B. However, with a few modifications, you can make the QA42A work.

(A) You have to change the Drive Pulley to accommodate the 5/8" belt. You need IH-78055-C2 Pulley.

(B) You will need the "Upper Links", part IH-79011-C1.

Thanks Roland! I'm assuming it takes two links, (one for each side) and that the links are still available Thanks again Gary C

You are correct. The links are only available from Used Parts Dealers, the Internet, and eBay. Try the sponsors listed at the top of the page first.

He don't need nothing! 311-0045 IS a 190-364-100 snow blower and this fit his 782! I got the same and it was removed from a 782!

But if he prefer fitting a QA42B I take that 364 from him anytime! Just PM me.

PS: Post a picture and they will all agree with me! Only upgrade I may suggest is swapping a better engine IF NEED.

I am curious. How did you connect the dots? I find NOTHING on a 311-0045.

Remenber that:http://www.ihcubcadet.com/forum/mess...tml?1400563810

I almost purchase one of those....

The OP just didn't give us the right model number and connecting the dots was easy! How many model of blower had box tubing bolted to it from the blower to the rear of a 82 series tractor frame and were using the deck lift arms to raise and lower it? Now if the OP can post few pictures of that "shaft driven" snow blower.

PS:My offer is still on the table by the way!

so according to that 2007 post, the blower I have will work, (I just thought that the rear mounting tied into an aluminum case wasn't robust enough to handle the occasional jarring) And that a previous owner had "jerry rigged" it to work.(it still doesn't look like a factory mount to me) Thanks for all the info. Gary C.

190-364-100 and 195-364-100 are the same, you can find the manual for this snow blower in the forum implements library.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
