Default Hope for 1872 hydro?
My wife was using my 1872 and it wouldn't start in the middle of the yard. I was on the tractor doing other things and my son in law road up to tell me they towed it to the shed. They towed it maybe 100 yards. I came unglued because they may have ruined the hydro. So what are my chances that it's OK?

I would be upset too, but it depends on how fast they pulled it. Also it helps that it was just running prior to being towed. Do you know why it quit running yet?

The wife stopped to get a drink. Had nothing when you hit the key switch. I'm in the process of ordering some spare safety switches and ignition switch. I have 2 mowers that don't crank right now. I can jump the solenoid and get it to crank. With 3 mowers maybe a good idea to have spares.

I would not be upset so fast yet. There have been many successful tows without issues. Here is just one. Seems someone by the name of "Digger" had to be towed at a Plow Day event.

Probably was hard to steer so maybe that means they went pretty slow. I wouldn't panic yet.

Got the 1872 running, found the wire came off the headlight and blew the fuse. The hydro works fine. Sure had me worried.

I think people worry to much when it come to towing these Cub's, I've personally towed them alot further than that without issue.
