Default GE 4411 Headlights

I hope this is OK to post here, but if you are needing GE 4411s for your older Cubs, Grainger currently has them on clearance for $3.30/ea. I am not affiliated with Grainger, I just thought members might like to know about the sale. I wasn't sure if this should go in the trading post area or here, so forgive me if I posted it in the wrong location.

That's a great price. Fortunately I have a Grainger location nearby. Unfortunately the Grainger web ad would not allow me to buy it on-line and pick it up locally. The shipping (for me) would be $10.48, total $13.78.

Like they say, "Ya don't get nuttin' for nuttin"!

Wow, that's the same shipping they charged me for 8 lights! With that quantity, it's still around $5/light. My local store did not have any in stock, and they won't ship to store for pickup due to the price.

That's a great price! Has it been a while since you have bought them? O'Reilly's website has them for $6.99 + shipping or $10.99 picked up in the store.

How often do you need to replace bulbs?

I have had lights on my 1250 for four years, and never have had to replace a bulb. I bought a used light panel on greed-bay, and the bubs were in the panel when I received it. I very much enjoy evening, after-dark cruises, and haven't had a problem. I have no idea how old the bulbs are.

This is a good price. I have two NAPA bulbs in stock now, thinking I would cut the original panel. I just replaced it instead. The GE 4411 seems to be pretty tough.

Is that the five or six finger discount?

I have had a few Cubs with lights with the original bulbs, they were prolly 98 cents in 1964.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
