On vacation with wife and kids in San Diego. Wife scored a work conference and we are tagging along. Put SPF 50 sun screen on all of us and spent the day at the Zoo. Amazing!! 70+ degrees. Weather too nice. Zoo really is top notch. My folks say it is 28, snow squalls on and off all day back home in upstate New York. And of course I have been searching the local Craigslist here for Cubs. Pretty thin though..

WE had a driver leave the plant here with a Mack plow truck on Friday AM bound for Seattle about 10:30. Talked to him yesterday and he was shut down at Worthington, MN.
I'll bet he us still stuck there this morning as the roads up that way are all closed according to the MN and SD DOT. Oh well, after all it IS March the 47th here anyway!! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
