I suppose I’ll just have to cut off the stock bulb pigtails and buy/install new glass sealed beam lights and retainers. Do you have a picture of a tractor with those sealed beams/retainers installed by any chance? Thank you guys for all your help.

I’m no help on what came on from the factory, but really it’s a matter of which style was put on what years.
2082 I had was socket type 2182 with no flares and metal tunnel- socket type 2182 flares and plastic tunnel- glass headlights The only one I’m kinda sure was the 2082. It was the oldest.

I believe all the replacement service grill shells were made for the sealed beams... so if it came with the early style and somebody broke it the replacement would have likely been the later style.. the original style plug in bulbs don't put off much light.. the sealed beams do much better for me.. I have both styles...

This is what I LOVE about this site, that no matter what I run into with one of my Cubs there is someone on here who can lend a friendly, helpful and professional hand. Many thanks again my friends. I’ve never seen the LED lights. I believe that I will go that route. Any suggestions on where to go to get these?
