A little hydraulic help?
Looking for some direction. I know the bottom two holes are for the lift linkage, but I was reading that the very top hole is for a pin like the one in the hole below it. Supposedly it's better for plowing??? If that is true, do I just move the pin to the top hole or do I use a 2nd pin? Thanks in advance! BTW, I have no idea why the picture loaded sideways

With just one pin, it allows implements to "float" due to the arm working like a hinge . Which is preferred when doing something like mowing. You want the deck to be able to rise over uneven ground.
Placing a pin in the second hole locks the hinging part of the lift arm. This allows hydraulic pressure to push down with force. This is sometimes desirable when working hard ground or packed snow in winter. You would need a pin in both holes for down pressure.
