1912 Broken lift cam stop knob (torque knob)
Well, I went to adjust my lift stop cam and the knob broke into three pieces in my hand. I had a spare that I put on and it broke too after a few uses. Are there any good aftermarket replacements? Or is it "use a fine threaded bolt and washer" time?

I am guessing, that the Bakelite Knob is brittle from being 30+ yrs old. Maybe---- you can bevel the edges of the three broken parts, and JB Weld them back together. And you are right, you could always fabricate something.

I have repaired many Farmall steering wheels, using JB Weld to fill the cracks, but I don't have any experience with it as a "glue" to put to pieces together. It does stick well to Bakelite.
Give it a try and let us know...

I would be inclined to carve one out from steel or aluminum. Granted, I have a lathe and milling machine. You could also look at Mcmaster Carr. Heres a link
