Still no "seat cover" options?
The seat on my 147 is really shabby. I've searched around for related posts and there doesn't seem to be a source for a basic "seat cover" to slip over the original seat pan. Most of the posts seem to indicate that guys are just buying whole new seats, I was hoping for a more economical solution leveraging my perfectly fine, steel seat pan. Is a new seat still the only option? Thanks all...

All seat coverings are either Hand Made or from Aftermarket Suppliers. Just have to search for something that will fit your seat.

Sure....and hand-made is out because that will almost certainly cost more than a replacement seat and I haven't been able to find an aftermarket supplier. To be clear I don't want a generic type but was hoping to find an "original look-alike" type. I've seen evidence that these were once available from sellers on Ebay but it looks like that's no longer an option...

I got one of these for a Crapsman I was selling. It was very good quality and had nice features like pockets and such. It has padding but if you are putting it on a bare metal pan you would probably want to cover it with foam first to fill the cover out. They have plenty of other choices too. Go to Walmart.com and search for tractor seat cover.
