Default 100 steering problen
So I seem to have an issue with my 100's steering box.

What would cause the steering shaft to pull up like that?

Is it something that a rebuild will fix?

Need to see the box. Lower part. Look for cracks in housing. If not cracked you have a chance of rebuilding.

I had that happen to my 72 years ago.
The top plastic bearing cage in the steering box gave up the ghost.

That is what I was thinking from looking at parts diagrams and watching a rebuild video.

Hopefully the steering wheel comes off without too much off a fight.
