Default 1863 cranks but no start
My BIL has a clean 1863 that wont start. Ran great, but then no start. Any common problems to check first? I'm more familiar with troubleshooting older coil style cubs.

Need more info.. If it ran before, its likely either no spark or no fuel. How long did it sit between last start and now?

Ran a week or so, ago.
Has gas, pump is pumping fine.
No spark, just wondering if any common problem to this series.

OK so you confirmed no spark. If thats the case then there are a few things to check.

I would start by checking the kill wire. Unplug the kill wire at the shroud and try to start it.

If the kill wire is grounded it will not produce spark
