Default One of the 129 Twins got dressed...

Been a while since I posted much here, not that active in Cub land since my rotator cuff surgery in June. Finally getting back into some hobbies now that my arm works again.

This 129 with hydraulic lift needed a face lift and a heart transplant. Smoking pretty badly, original engine, STD size piston still in it. Started and ran well, but killed all the flying insects within 50 feet.

I had a K241 sitting on the shelf that I rebuilt last winter, so I decided just to drop that in it. Had earlier repainted the fenders and replaced tires, but had delayed painting the white bits. So, along with the engine swap, I took care of all the white parts.

Pics...She be purrin' like a kitten now.

Looking good!

I had the rotator cuff and some dremel work on the bone joint. It was a slow process to get going again but all is good now and it looks like the same for you too!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
