Murphy - I am intrigued about your implement here in this picture. Did you modify this in some way or did it come stock like that? It looks like it creates a nice row with a furrow in the middle. I have not seen one like this before and think it would work wonders on my small farm. Any information and other pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Scotty
That is a hiller and it's too weak for me so I sold it last weekend. I actually bent it the first time I used it. I'll be building a cat0 hiller using discs. Yeah Brinly made some neat stuff but... Scott |

Thanks for the information Scott. I wish Brinly still made some of those attachments in that catalog. I would love to have a few of those attachments in that photo! :biggrin2.gif:
I guess I need to get my hands on a welder and start making my own attachments. It's about time I learned that trade anyway. ![]() |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
