Stimpy, I think Under Achiever is funnier.

Since my inquiry on this matter I have found another post asking the same question. Dark Minion answered the same. Once I removed the rust and paint I found marks left from a press brake. A dimple with two equal distant crescent marks on the opposing side of the rod. I further believe that there is nothing that could have gotten caught in there to make such a bend in a piece of steel of that diameter without causing other damage. (i.e brake rod, hydro linkage, drive shaft, fan shroud)
I conclude neither is incorrect.

Nice Rack!!! Or is that rake?
Since the layoff I have loads of time (if not money) to tinker.
The 147 is nearly assembled. The K321 my buddy sent doesn't smoke but there is a lot of blow by at the breather. I opened the bottom and evicted the balance gears.
My favorite part is the rake in the hood. I think the grill may have some wiggle room to help this.

It's been some time since I've done anything to the 147. It has been assigned to snow throwing duties in which it has only been used twice. My neighbor keeps thanking me for warding off the snow with my readiness.

OK. Been brainstorming the electric lift situation and finally have my solution set in place and functioning. A YooLangDingDong linear actuator for lifting and a worm drive motor to rotate the chute. The actuator was modified for a 5" stroke as needed. Waiting on some plugs to finalize the electrical. I must admit that I miscalculated the speed of the motors. They are a bit on the slow side.

Here is my meager attempt at film making.

Nice job, and great to see the RELAY block (fuses would be great too!)

Slow likely means a significant gear reduction which allows a reasonable sized motor (with reasonable sized current) to be used.

Thx Daniel, jbrewer.

We shall see how well the relay block handles the Kohler Shake.

If you want to go back to the OG 14 HP Scott Urschel in New Haven IN may be able to get you one. He had one back in October.

Not sure I need to go back to original. The 14hp engine that came from a wide frame is running well enough. If something happens to it I let you know.

Been thinking about doing this one up this summer. Take all the best parts off the 127 and send that one on the road making room for something else.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
