Exclamation The USPS in their infinite wisdom is changing my town

I got a letter informing myself and my wife that our mailing address will no longer be Zionsville, PA

The USPS is changing it to Palm, PA 18070

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
long story short-- when my house was built in 1945, the owner had the option of picking up his mail in Palm which was 2 miles away or delivery at the driveway using Zionsville.
He picked Zionsville. It's been that way for 65 years and now they've decided to make me spend hours to change everything that comes here.
BTDT.
I used to pick up my mail at the P.O./general store/filling station in my little town, as we didn't have a mail carrier route.
One day they closed our P.O. and gave us the post office zip of the town 2 miles away to use.
I kept my old zip/town for many years on my drivers license as it was acceptable as they promised.
Well, come the computer age and "google" maps,that didn't list our zip code
anymore causing problems getting mail as well as other legalities.
I finally got fed up fighting everyone like legal authorities/government/ law etc. and just changed my town and zip code.
I still have problems sometimes with things like my old vehicle titles and things that still reflect my old zip & town.
I tell people if you came to arrest me you will find me in the same old town I've lived in over 45 years, not the other town 2 miles away.
Don't even get me started on the USPS. There is no doubt in my mind, why they continue to lose money.
Where I live, there are 5 post offices I can go to that are 5 miles or less away. Four of them are within 3 miles.
Fortunately, my post office is the only one who delivers and I shouldn't have a Jeff problem.
They should start competing with Dunkin Donuts......there's so many of 'em.
Perhaps we make the mistake in thinking that customer service has
something to do with the customer, not. A lot of time when we order
from UPS they will drop our packages in town at the Post office for
our convenience. That's only 40 miles round trip and 3 gallons of gas.
At least its free shipping.
Here's the long story.
The owner of the Zionsville post office building refused to renew the lease ( did give advance warning) but since Zionsville is a very small town, another in town location couldn't be found.
So then Hereford took over Zionsville deliveries. ( about 3 miles away from each other)
Everything was fine until some kids set the Hereford post office on fire on Christmas Day 2017. The Hereford post office is in a shared building, half is the post office and the other half is a Turkey Hill ( 7-11 / Wawa type store)
Then Palm and Alburtis post offices took over while they spent 9 months rebuilding the PO.
Hereford got back in about 18 months ago. Then the building owner jacked up the rent so they wouldn't renew so he could try to put in a fast food franchise about 6 months ago.
So instead of Palm taking over my mail again, they have Alburtis doing it and they are 15 miles away.
So their stupidity will create untold hours of me doing address changes. What pissed me off the most was the close to a decade of doing both Cub cadet parts and Kawasaki Triple parts using my Zionsville address. Now I have to hope that folks who have my address saved will contact me before sending parts so I can give them the "new" town and ZIP code
Well for over 20 years our road had no name. It was 1/2 mile long and had 4 houses on it. Then I built my house. Post office wanted to give me grief until the county informed them otherwise. We all fancy an such with a road sign at each end now!
Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
