Default The unloved!

Ok. Here's the story. This 70 was found in a dumpster in the late 70's. No engine. A 12hp was installed (k301) and was used by the finder (my friends father) for many years. After the father passed away my friend acquired it and it sat under his porch for 7-8 years. While talking one day I mentioned he should get it out and at least ride it around! He said, "take it! Do what you want." So, I did. Got it running and riding. Then, life happened. It sat again for 5 years. Now, it's time to do it again. Cleaned fuel system. Points/condenser. Fluids. And a bath. Wiped off the coat of paint on the hood to reveal the old decals. Not interested in restoration just to allow it to live on. Also have a mower deck. Maybe someone will appreciate it. I know I do. I'll ride it and enjoy it! Oh! The father made the breather cover from stainless! Thanks for reading.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
