Ok guys today's the big day gonna finish asseby of the engine and try to start it. I put in the steel governor gear and the billet connecting rod with bearing had to order a standard bearing for this connecting rod. I timed the balance gears and cam shaft and used assembly grease. I also got a zinc additive to add to the 30w oil to help everything properly seat. I'm going to temporarily mount the engine on my old frame to test it and let it break-in some. I also used my K241s flywheel bearing plate and blower housing. I hope all goes well wish me luck

Well she's alive fires right up just gotta get that darn govnor spring adjusted right. I've just got it rigged up to run on my old frame. It's runs smoothly then that spring gets out of adjustment then revs high n I have to shut t it down or hold the throttle lever back.

It was my understanding that the 6.00-12's are taller than the 6-12's.
Not a big deal as long as you are not putting them on a 4 wheel drive tractor. HTH

By any chance, will 6.00-12 chains fit 6-12s?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
