Wow. I'd like to have one of the front mounted ones for some property I need to clear. I wonder how what kind of stuff they will cut? I have a lot of weeds and small bushes.

I would love to find a haban also. Haha that jiffy brochure says for models 70,71,100 and a 101. It must of been printed kinda before the series since they didn't put 102

Wander what it'll bring on epay?? I got very lucky finding one a few weeks ago. I'll be mounting it on the 71. After I restore the 71 and sickle I'll be afraid to use them as they're so rare and finding parts for a haban sickle is just not happening. I hope to find another so I can have one to actually use.

Know what you mean about getting to certain places. My biggest area of concern for mowing is my nearly freaking vertical .3 long driveway and along my back fence. Have a F cub sickle bar I need to go get, and have a haban on the way, but I will need to remanufacture the rear mount for this one. I do Like Dales' Dads' rear mount idea much better though. Hmmm, where to get a cheap donor to work with?????

one really cool thing about the habans sickle is you can do vertical brush cutting also.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
