Default Unknown air box
I got this air box and doesn't look like anything I have seen before for a quietline. Thought maybe for an 800?
Anybody have any thoughts?

It came with an 800 I picked up that didn't have an engine. It didn't look like the one on my other 800 but wanted to make sure.
Merk,

Any idea what it could be for then? It looks factory.

that looks like the sheet metal that surrounds the muffler on a quietline. my 1200 and 1450 had a similar set up. after 30+ years it rattled to the point that i took it off!!! hope that helps you some. jeff

A quietline air box is more rectangle.
Matt suggested maybe off a briggs 582 or maybe a cyclops??
Tomorrow I will have to compare and see.

Just another option maybe.. could it have come off a Kohler engine (same exact engines as for our CC) yet for another manufacture of the lawn/garden tractor. I have seen Kohler the same as my K321 in another garden tractor and some of the sheet metal, and other things were a lot different.
