I doubt you have anywhere near enough weight. 300 lbs. seems to be the magic number for mine.

i am running a 123 with turf tires-8.5'' wide- 4 link chains, i am 150lbs with an extra 120 on the back. 42'' thrower and i really do not have any trouble going through a foot or two of snow. sometimes if i am faced down hill with the thrower off the ground and tryin to back up i spin a little so i am sure a little more weight would solve this problem. of course i would rather have ag tires with two link chains and about 50 to 70lbs more weight on the back.

I run Tru-Power Ags with four 26# weights and 4 link chains on my 1450 with a 42" blade. It does really well. Yesterday, just for giggles, I fired up my 1282 just to let it run for a while. It has no weights or chains but has a 42" blade on it. Anyway, I think my corvette could plow snow better. It was fun pushing it by hand back to the shed while me and the wife laughed. Anyway, It got a good mid-winters warm up.
Moral of the story............WEIGHTS and CHAINS

My 70 pushes a 54 inch blade with 80lbs a side of wheel weights and about 200 in the weight box. Tru-powers and 4 link chains. BUT turfs and 2 link are better. I just didn't want to change tires around.

Check with the sponsors first, but Aaron at Xtreme Motor Works has exactly what you need. Just a little out of my price range right now.

I cleared snow for the first time during the "NY Holiday Blizzard of 2010" last weekend. My 125 seemed to push the 42" blade OK with 2 link chains, a set of IH wheel weights and my 200 or so pounds. My drive is a slight hill, and I tried to keep up with the storm so I only pushed about 6" at a time. In some places I did have to push 12"+ and I still did OK. I was surpised at how well it did. I made plies almost 4' high with it.

Get the weight on, Jay. If you think spinning tires with chains on a blacktop driveway won't mark up the drive, you have a surprise coming. I've got marks all over my blacktop drive from spinning my chained turfs. Since I didn't have enough weight to keep from spinning, I finally put my 3-bag lawn bagger on the back and filled the bags with snow. That extra weight helped a lot and I finally got the snow plowed off.

Here in VA we got three snows from 15"-26" in under 6 weeks last year. We're not used to that. The first dump plowed off pretty easy, but the next two had no place to go. Had a very hard time getting it off the road because of the berm from the first snow. The extra weight let me push through the old berm and get the snow off the drive.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
