New member, but old Cub Cadet owner/user
Greetings from East Tennessee
Semi-retired, from my last steady paying job of almost 30 years. Now my work is mainly the family farm with equipment and livestock (cattle only). Of course, that never gets caught up, even after retirement. Couple of hobbies and pretty much try to DIY whatever needs to be done or fixed and have been fairly successful at it, luckily! And as the old saying goes, I’d rather be lucky than good, because I’ll attempt pretty much anything that my many tools will tear apart. Hopefully put back together, possibly even better and stronger than before, due to my long ago machine shop schooling and experience, along with my primitive ideas which most times actually work, again luckily!  I’m always seemingly late to the game, so on my 4th Cub Cadet Lawn Tractor/mower, I finally need some professional insight on a new mower and 2 older perfectly useable mowers with exception of the transmissions…….

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
