Have a Cub Cadet 1210 that hasn't run in 5 years which I have to move out of my shed before it can be picked up. Couldn't get it to start then ("varnished," fuel lines?) so no way I can get it to start now. Haven't been able to move it in neutral. Is there an golf cart type of "tow" switch on the 1210? Thank you in advance!

No there is not. You can push it or tow it but you can only go baby steps.

Hi darkminion,
Thank you for your prompt reply! Bummer that there is no way to roll it, but just a 1st world problem!

With a helper, you might be able to move it by putting a small hand truck under the transmission between the rear wheels. Block it up if needed...and push hard!

In order to move my 782 around I put one of these under each rear wheel.

The 1210 has auto relief valves on the hydro so you can push it or pull it at a slow walking pace for short distances.

make sure the brake isn't set . if you lift 1 rear tire off the ground the roll pretty free.

Say, are you moving that tractor out of a shed or over rough terrain or, perhaps over a concrete floor? Bigger wheels will make it easier to roll especially if over rough ground if you are worried about the relief valves. Sam says you are ok to push it, so I would just give it the heave-ho and get it moved.

5 years?? If the tires are low or flattened, inflated them to proper pressure. It will move easier.

Back your car up to that shed and hook one end of a chain around the front axle of the 1210 and the other to the frame on your car and drag that sucker to where you want in to be! Simple! Git-r-done!! Don't waste any more time thinking about it!!!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
