Newbie here. So happy to have bought a 1986 1711 Hydro, 54" deck at a barn auction. Runs great. Not pretty but the engine was well cared for it seems. Farmer wrote all the oil changes under the hood, tranny under the seat.
I'd like to use it on my place to bag leaves. What part number am I looking for? Any help appreciated. Thanks. Attachments are me in 1969, age 8, and current day, much older. |

59 Pontiac?? You're certainly not older than that car.
There are leaf baggers mentioned in the attachment section for model 1711 in the Cub Cadet Parts and Service link in the header at top of page. Just click the link in the header, then click Cub Cadet in the boxed square. From there you can enter your tractor model and then click attachments. Hope this helps.

Looks like that 1711 had the original engine replaced with a Briggs Vanguard. That should be a great tractor with that engine if it was done properly.

My dad has a bagger setup for an 82 series. PM me here if you’re interested. I’m in central PA. Not sure what part of Ohio you’re in.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
