Hi everyone. This is my first post here.
I just bought a 2013 Cub Cadet LTX automatic in good shape and in the process of checking it up I see two things that I am hoping I can get answers for. I tried calling the number on the tractor but the girl that helped me just sent me to my local authorized dealer. The first question has to do with the oil light. The LCD display is giving the "change oil" message, but it is also flashing the oil light. The manual says the "change oil" display will continue to show for the next 2 hours of operation, but is not clear if the oil light is supposed to blink at the same time, or is indicating low oil pressure, and I don't want to run the engine without knowing. I checked the oil and it is clean and to the full mark, I have not located the oil sentry sensor to check it yet, but if the engine oil is supposed to flash at the same time as the oil change, I will feel a lot better. The second question I will post in another thread to keep this neat. Thanks in advance for any information. |

Here is what the owner's manual for my 2009 LTX-1045 says:

Yeap, I saw that too.
I have not been able to find an oil sentry sensor in my kohler 19 hp engine, so I think the flashing is related to the change oil message and it will stop when the "change oil" message stops. Thanks. |

What is happening is correct and nothing to worry about
It will happen every 50 hours of operation Oz This is what I posted until I found out the answer https://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/...light=blinking

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
