Default wg600 fuel pump replacement 4-6 PSI????? OR

just joined and searched to no avail.
I got a 2182 and the PO replaced the electric fuel pump with a china one that specs out..depending on where you read. either 4-6 psi or other specs.
Tractor engine runs well, but after running it around, i see the oil is WAYYY up on the dipstick. By the way, the oil when i got it was right on the FULL mark, not above.
the pump thats in it will run continuously with the key in run. never shuts off. is that normal? anyone know what tthe pump should be?? 1-3?? 4-6??? etc etc

My thoughts....
I believe that if the tank is filled to a level above the carb you can run without a pump.
So you could try bypassing the pump, run awhile without it and see if that alleviates your oil overfill issue.
If it does alleviate, your pump is the issue, if not I'd look at the carb float, needle, etc.
I'm thinking 1-3 psi would be a better option.

True story Ironman! I have a cab on my 2182 and it was WAYYYY too much work to get the cab and the body panels off to get to the pump. it was a little hard to start at times but it ran with no pump for at least five years. it did not have to bee very full to run either. I finally broke down and pulled it all apart for that pump. I am running a cheap china pump in mine too- but now its under the hood. I am betting you need a carb rebuild. the complete kubota engine and CC2182 manuals are free and available on the forums.

I think mine came from Ebay but was listed as for CC2182

Isn't the fuel tank below the carb on a 2182?

I run these POS China specials on my 3205. Just make sure the line size matches up. They'll last 3-5 years most of the time.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
