Looks like a 108 that got an engine transplant.

You got a wide frame.... the 126 was a narrow frame. Looks like you got a mish mash of Cub Cadet tractors put together.

Definitely not a 126, someone put the wrong decals on it. An 86, 108, and 128 are all the same tractors, only difference being the engines, 8 hp K181, 10 hp K241, and 12 hp K301. It most likely is an 86, and someone put a larger engine in it, a 14 hp K321 would be a direct fit, but they never came from the factory in a gear drive tractor. Now, if your serial number is on the transmission, it is possible that someone swapped that out with one from another tractor. If that’s the case, they most likely didn’t change the tag, and there is no way to tell exactly what your tractor started out as. It is definitely an 86, 108, or 128 though.

Something is VERY STRANGE about your engine or else your 2nd picture is reversed. It shows your carb set up on the driver's RHS and your exhaust exiting the driver's LHS. Hmmmm....but your first picture shows the carb on the correct side. Cornfusing???

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
