That stinks.
Sounds like he needs to straighten up or he’s going to destroy his business, to the detriment of us who are trying to keep these machines running. I hope you get a satisfactory resolution soon.

I agree, I had thought he was a great source of hard to find parts for these older Cubs, kind of a Niche business. Doesn't do the consumer much good if the parts don't actually reach them. As I said earlier I completely understand shipping delays or a mishap in getting the order sent out. But the poor attitude and no replies doesn't give a good image.

Update: I received tracking this morning. The package has been received by the post office. Don't know if the package contains the belt from the previous order or just the second order. I should find out when it arrives.

I just placed my first order with them the other day. I guess that I'll need to keep my eyes open. I'll hope for a favorable outcome. Maybe the guy just had a bad week? Maybe he had too much to juggle for a little bit? Maybe he was sick, or injured, or something like that?

I had a terrible experience with him dropping the ball on an order last year and taking several messages here to get him to get the parts out the door.
I've ordered a bunch of parts prior years with not problem, so this is a new thing. I think if its wide spread enough that it keeps causing people like me to repeatedly make posts about it he owes his customers an explanation or update to how quickly they can expect their parts. I don't think its a bad thing to communicate with your customers about delays you are having if you are a small business and service a small community like this. Most people will understand, but the important thing is communication.

I can understand the delays but to go completely silent to multiple emails and calls isn't a good business practice. When I did get a response it was a stuck up attitude. Something that doesn't add up is he said the original order had shipped within a week of ordering it. The pick ticket in the box that arrived had a print off date of 5/3 and is marked "Reship". Printer date off, printed multiple copies of the order slip? If it was truly a reshipped order that was mailed on 5/26 wouldn't the pick ticket have a date closer to that time? Because the original ticket would be lost in the mail? After the multiple rounds of no reply I disputed these charges with my Credit Card Company. Thinking I wasn't going to get anything. He acknowledged that I did that over email the day after I received tracking. Like I was trying to pull one on him, I responded willing to resend the funds how he'd like. No reply That's been exactly 1 week. Tiller Belt kit that was ordered the middle of April still hasn't arrived. Not expecting it now, as payment for that item has been reversed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
