Early this morning I pulled out the pair of 100s and took a pressure washer to them. The snow plow had been sitting in the bushes for at least 10 years, since we don't get much snow here in South Florida, but I pulled it out and stuck it back on a tractor just for this photo op. The bolts holding it on are only finger tight. The skinny tire tractor was born in February of 64 and it's wide tire sibling with the plow was born later that same year in November.

A pair of 100's, both look fairly well stock, one with a creeper, and a snow plow that I will never use in south Florida, and now a 122 with a deck |

A 122 followed me home the other day. I finally have one with a mower deck. It also has a 3 point hitch on the back. I think that my collection is complete.

Nice score! Like Jay said, a collection is never complete. That 3 will turn into 6 before you know it.

Yeah, three ol' narrow frames is a one party system. Marxism never works!
Some wide bodies and quiet ones could provide controversy, then some big boys to maintain control. It's called Cub democracy. |

Just picked up this 149. In the process of power washing and going thru some worn out steering bits. Does the axle pivot pin come out thru the fron or does the engine have to come out to push it out the back ?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
