Fabricating attachments....
Anyone ever come up with a good way to fabricate something like this?
Viking Seeder.jpg Was thinking of putting a spike areator on the bottom instead though?

Mike I am actaully pondering that myself. I would like something like that for seeding in food plots. I was going to see about using stretch steel for the roller and maybe using some small steel trailer wheels for the supports or such.. The sad thing is, the Cat 0, and dual hydro opened up WAY too many possible projects for me I think..

Take something like this.....and add a spike section to the front.....I think I would want twice the number of spikes they have shown here.....have them maybe 1-1/2 to 2 inches appart. This would give you the sown look when the grass starts to sprout in the really burnt off areas perhaps? aearator-spreader-landing.jpg Then throw a gang of rollers on the back perhaps? roller.jpg or stripe roller.jpg  Any thoughts or opinions? Make this a unit that is towed behind the tractor. Main purpose is to areate the lawn in the spring and top dress it where needed. Hopefully the roller would press the seed in that didn't already fall in the holes left by the spikes enough to make contact and not blow away the first time the neighbour farts! Perhaps a weight baracket needs to be added somehow and make the roller float independantly from the frame of the seeder.....allowing for rougher lawns and to add down pressure to push seeds into ground?
