Exhaust options
Hello again. I was wondering if I wanted to quiet down my 127 is their any options for a quiet exhaust? I have a brand new stock muffler on it and it's still as you all know loud. I am looking for options.

I had a Wheel horse with this on it,Came out the back,sure was quiet,

You might be stuck with the stock muffler. You can still get stock mufflers from a dealer, but they are pricey, $75+ IIRC. They also sell the sound dampening mufflers(wrong name, can't remember the right one, CRS), which are supposed to lower the sound, but these are probably over $100 from the dealer. Some of the sponsors might have what ya need. I run stock mufflers, and mine aren't too loud. My Zero turn is loud. I've resorted to wearing ear protection
 .Darkminion's WH has a neat system. You'd have to be careful how you ran the exhaust. Could get close to grass clippings and a deck and might cause some smoke :biggrin2.gif:.

I think ccspecialties has the noise suppression mufflers if that's what you were thinking of

I know this isn't what you probably would want to do, but I started wearing ear plugs years ago. Works so good and no headache when done mowing.

I always use earplugs, too, unless I'm just moving the tractor from one spot to another. I bet few if any machines, even the modern ones, are quiet enough to be operated without hearing damage if no ear protection is used. Earplugs are also much cheaper than a special exhaust system, hearing aid, etc.

I wear worktunes or just normal earmuffs with my ipod ear buds under them when I mow. Otherwise for snow removal, plowdays or just playing I don't use ear protection
