Never had a tractor with attachments or hydro, this is my first one. I love it so far.

do you have the front caster brackets for the front wheels? I noticed they're not installed on the mower deck pic. I hope you've got them, they are very expensive. Nice super!

The front caster mount brackets are about 270.00 for a pair new. You may be able to find them used. I would get the front wheels from xtrememotorworks they are better quality and much cheaper.

Default Caster wheels

My 60" Haban deck was also missing the front brackets and wheels. I checked the PARTS TREE...and they wanted $375 PER SIDE!!!! (New brackets and wheels). I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I eventually found a used pair for $40 and I had to replace the 6" wheels (Tractor Supply for about $10 each). Keep in mind the left & right side brackets at not the same.

Do you mean full floater as "none of the deck wheels touching the ground or just the back"? I know I saw a pick of a 982 with the first haban 60" offered to cub and it didn't have front wheels just the skids. I know my manual says to use the height adjustment setting if I want to mow at a higher height than what i have my wheels set at such as tall grass etc...

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
